This set features a mix of conventional portrait and documentary/street portraits. It’s an interesting balancing act and personal challenge, for me, when either controlling the environment and capturing a moment within it, or attempting to capture a moment when maybe the subject isn’t even aware of my presence. [Incidentally, throughout these images, eye contact doesn’t necessarily mean these people were either aware or complicit in my intentions! Can you guess which ones?*]
* A small carrot or a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey to anyone who correctly guesses them all. [Hint: Go for the carrot. Eminently more nourishing and fulfilling.]
